Good lord, I feel like I was just celebrating this holiday yesterday, but NO ITS BACK!!
While Thanksgiving is such a nice time to re-set and think about the things that we are so lucky to have and remember to appreciate them, Christmas is a time to prove it with gifts!
Another thing that Christmas is good for, is shopping for cute holiday dresses that are appropriate for grandma and grandpa!! AMIRITE? Anyways, what the heck are we going to wear? I still have no idea, but hopefully this post will help you do some brainstorming and figure it out.
Everyone's version of Christmas is different, sometimes its a fashion show (which makes no sense because fashion shows are never comfortable especially when you are eating your weight in ham and potatoes) and some are super casual - either way you have to look the best so here are some ideas how you can.
FASHION SHOW CHRISTMAS
Dressing for holiday events and get togethers always involves a certain color scheme - so let's start with that and go from there.
COLORS to stick to are deep reds, greens and blues - black of course is always an easy option too. Though you can always wear the pure forms of these colors (like royal blue and firetruck red) its just more appealing and frankly easier to find if you stick to those. Other good colors are ivory and tan (like that cognac color). Moral of this is that you want to wear more of those earth tones - like the colors you are seeing outside right now!
OUTFITS are usually fit and flare, long sleeves, sweaters, turtlenecks, skirts, tights, boots/booties (ya know, the whole shabang). Since we all are going to be doing ALOT of eating, maybe consider a cute sweater dress (no one will see the food baby) and thigh high boots (classy low heeled ones)!
IDEAS I've added a few images below, but also remember, that places like Lulus and Revolve have ALOT of holiday options.
